The beauty about leadership is it takes the unique shape of the person who leads everyone. Leadership is a two way street and not a conclusive idea. THIS IS A LEADER! – is a non-existential state. It is the work itself that births a leader and continuously develops him/her.
Leaders take on major projects beyond their previous scale of work and let the new scale shape them into a new personality. While everything in a leader is subject to change, the strength of a leader that remains constant at his core is his intent and his authenticity.
A Leader is a secure individual who understands that the team that delivers is bound to be way better than him in their area of expertise. Simultaneously, if the leader does not recognise his own talents and abilities of managing the alchemy of skills and talent for a common goal as intelligence then he is bound to develop a large ego and he is then bound to fight small local battles for petty wins and loses trust.
Graphology, the science of understanding the subconscious mind of a person from the shapes in the writing, is one very powerful tool that opens conversations for deeper reflections and deeper spiritual understandings. Grapho-therapy – that is a process of engaging the nervous system to take alternative routes due to new finger movements sparks development of new perceptions. This new perception and deeper questions activate the innate intelligence of a person that is dormant in him/her.
I, Archana Bora, have 14 years of experience as a Handwriting Analyst and have worked with more than 100 individuals and seen them transform to – to live their own uncompromised choices. I look forward to sharing a peak into the hidden part of Handwriting analysis.
Here are a list of 5 traits as seen in the Handwriting and one interpretation each which can help current leaders look into their Handwritings and consider reworking some style of work to improve the quality of work that takes place around them.
The five traits in the handwriting are
- Identifying the ability of the person to process thoughts new to them –
Here we measure the letter height and width ratio to be 1:1 or more - Balance of rights between people – Seen in the flowing, curvy, elastic movements and rounded letters.
- Self-control, balance – Seen in even speed, even pressure and no unnecessary additional strokes.
- Deductive reasoning – Seen in the connected letters in words in rapid and confident movement.
- Consistent, determined, reliable, perseverent –
Here we measure the degree to which the line is planted on the baseline.

1. Quality – broadmindedness and ability to allow new ideas.
When the width of the letter equals the height of the letters – seen in the roundedness of ‘o’ or ‘a’ it is a sign of broad mindedness. The leader is naturally able to probe, examine and consider the whole rounded view of ideas and possibilities. They have the willingness to accept the ideas of others and to do a SWOT analysis of it from a neutral space. They also have a tendency to probe in a non-offensive way to find the problem that needs to be resolved.

2. Quality – Balance between one’s own rights and those of others, wariness, common sense, good organisational skills, sense of timing, sense of opportunity, ability to mediate and adapt in order to make things work.
When the leader’s writing is flowing, curved, even the sharp parts are written as rounded and there are beautiful embellishments in the writing – this quality of being present can be seen in the person. The leader does not lose sight of the end goal and is not as perturbed by glitches and blocks in the project.
3. Quality – Self-control, balance, self possession, stability, emotional detachment from situations, reflection, moderate reactions.
This in Graphology is seen when there are no additional stylised strokes in the writing. Here an even speed, even slant, even pressure of writing is maintained and no sign of impulsivity is found. The writer of this stroke is aware of the multitudes of factors that simultaneously impact each other. And they prefer to take steps that would cause least disruption and they inch forward in the direction of their goal. No dramatic or hasty decisions are made by them. They prefer to work within the protocols.
Carl Jung
4. Quality – Good at association of ideas – thus bringing together ideas from two different fields and fusing them. Consistency and collaboration. Deductive reasoning and arriving at the root of problems. Thought and action follow one another in continuity. Least distracted. And they are good at building interpersonal relationships. They usually find grounds of commonality between themselves and people.
This is seen in a script where most of the letters are connected to one another, the writing has a good speed and smoothness to it. And the continuity if maintained uniquely by the writer in their style.
Albert Einstein
Quality – Consistency, steady personality, determined, adherence to one’s own goals, reliability, perseverance in carrying out tasks. Here the leader himself personifies the very attitude that he wishes for the team to carry in them.
This is seen in the script where the line proceeds horizontally in a straight line without rising or falling from the baseline. – even though the line is invisible. Here the leader does not lose track of the past, present and is also able to see the progression into the future. She/he does not take a failure as final or rejection as the end. They move forward determined to meet their goal in the best way possible in the circumstance. They are not easy to manipulate and have a ting of sincerity in them.
Thus when these five qualities are visible in a leader – it is a sign that the person can be given a good level of responsibilities and one can be rest assured about reaching the goal.
Handwriting analysis is one of the kindest ways of unveiling one’s own hidden self to shed what is coming in the way of accessing one’s own unique talents and abilities.
If you are rooting for a role jump – then Grapho therapy is one of the most effective programs to enroll for – to raise one’s own bar and to ready for greater responsibilities.
If companies with to equipe their future leaders, emotionally, intellectually, creatively and develop their personalities for leadership – Graphotherapy can be a very potent tool to put to application and see the transformation. As I have.
